Oh my god! I found it on accident! When looking for Professor Layton UNDUB (was curious to see if there was one and there is, for the first two games) and I found Megaman X8 UNDUB!! Granted, I was looking for it under the name Rockman X8 in hoping that someone ripped the Japanese version, which most likely came with English and Japanese options as did Megaman X7 PS2 and Megaman X8 PC versions. Only found the PC rip and not the PS2 rip on torrent. Shoulda Googled it.

As for Death Note in general, I enjoyed reading the manga up until vol 8 (we all know what happens in vol 7/8. It got boring for me afterwards) I only read the rest of it just to finish the story. I wasn't into the anime much either. I have low expectations for this movie. Now, I'm not saying that the JPN ver is better, I found them boring, expect for L's movie...somewhat. I had low expectations for Chun Li and DBE. I wouldn't go to the theaters to watch it. I'd probably rent it when it comes out on DVD and read reviews/summary on how good/bad it really was.

Long time

Waaaah!!! It's been a long time since I updated! How's everyone doing?!! Did I mention that I got my first A in one of my biology classes at CSU LA? Well I did! YATTA! The professor was extremely lazy. I don't recommend Brianna (think that's her first name) Aliabadi. Says she'll post it but never does. I think the only reason that I got an A is that I kissed up to her. Nice person, terrible professor. I quote from a friend, "Can't teach to save her life."

What I've been doing?

Went to AX 2009, met the Power Rangers and Yashiro Nightow, creator of Trigun. Everyone was super cool. Pics are up at Facebook.

I got an Acer netbook. Need to see if I can upgrade the RAM to 2G at least. I have to take off the keyboard to do that. Gonna get my cuz to do it.

Takiing Quantitative Chemical Analysis and Organic Chemistry. Both are killers. The Prof for my Sociology 300 class got changed, so pissed, already brought the book, but what can you do when the other classes are full. Not a bad teacher, the one I have now, meh. I'm also taking Kung-fu and Tai Chi with Jack Huang. He's a stunt coordinator. Look him up if you want.

I got a new battery for my old iPod mini. I also brought the iPod touch 3rd generation 32 GB. Now I just gotta wait until the ppl can jailbreak it.

I brought the Yatterman Bluray set. Yatter! Yatter! Yatterman!

Just finish downloading and watching (might have skim through a few eps) Lois and Clark: the New Adventures of Superman.

I was reading a YGO! DM fanfic about Mana and Mahado until I got the urge to figure out what all the character shipping names were. (Mana x Mahado is Apprenticshipping) Turns out there are 545 terms for just DM in this list! Crazy huh?

I need to watch Kamen Rider W/Double, w/e you want to call the show/him. I also need to finish doing a few other things in the toku genre.

Bastard owes me $311.87 in addition to my loan money, ~$2,300, that he spent without my consent. If it's not repaid, I'm suing his ass to the ground.

Brought more stuff

I was up in San Jose this past week. Good time. Brought stuff, played games, a meteor hitting some guy's car and that he was Superman and the JL came an rescued us cause the meteor had kryptonite when "Superman" attempted to hit it, there were other variances to the story but that what I remembered, went to San Fransisco's Japantown, had fun on the Wii with my nephews, found a new hatred for the one that calls himself my "father", helped my sister and her family move into a new house etc. And now it's back to school with crazy chemistry and genetics. I hope I survive this summer.

That rounds up to about $200. I wanted to buy more stuff like Yatterman manga, Trigun vol 14 (for the mangka to sing at AX 09), Tales of Magazine, FFVII ACC English edition blu-ray, The Girl Who Lept Through Time SE DVD, Snoopy Formation Arts, and this Kamen Rider Den-O/Kiva & Geki/Bouken manga that I was wondering what the heck it was. But luckily I was able to put back all that stuff and only spent about $100. I would have brought Arashi - Believe single if it was there, but it wasn't.

Yatterman

I want to watch YattERman!! But the group that was subbing it, the translator had to drop cause of real life. Add to the fact that looking for the RAWs on torrent sites are hard, it's either not there or no seeds. Yatterman is a brillant anime yet no one else picked it up. *cries* I guess I really have to learn how to use Winny and Share. I REALLY hope that when the live action movie comes out on DVD, someone will rip it and put it on the net. The same would go towards the new anime movie coming out in August this year.

Seriously. It's the end of the quarter and he's saying that I should have studied more cause I'm sitting at the table studying. HAS that fag not notice that for 10 weeks I didn't leave the god damn house except for school, gym, and market? Has that fag notice that I didn't go to the mall or my aunt's house or anywhere else?! God damn, I can't wait until he's dead. And he doesn't have the slightest decency to not watch pron when my mom and I are in the living room. (his laptop and desktop are in the living room.)

On the other hand, finals is on Monday, and I'm worried about my Chemistry (yet again. stupid chemistry class) Everything else is fine, A or B for sure. Wish me luck, nyah.

English is a hard language to learn

But that's not what this lady thinks. Apparently Asian languages is hard to learn according to this lady. So, one syllable words are hard to pronounce. The English language is one of the hardest language to learn because of all it's grammar rules, like change "y" to "i" and then add"-ed, -ing, etc." and it's pronouncation. It would seem to her that "Pavel Glukhovskiy" (<--he's Russian and one of my previous professor. I don't really know how to pronounce his name...) is easier to say then "Chun Li" or "Maaya Sakamoto." You see, with Chinese and Japanese, you pronounce each syllable as you see them. Ch as in change, un as in understand, Li as in liLy. Maa-ya Sa-ka-mo-to. Is that so hard?

Clearly this is about race. Telling someone to change from one thing to another because it's easier. Brown thinks that everyone should be "White" because she thinks that being white means that she's superior, that everyone should do as they are "suggested" by white people. While being American is white, truth be told as that's what being American is, according to Ronald Takaki, but that doesn't mean that the minority should give up to the majority. I'm Vietnamese American, I have a hard first name to pronounce BUT I have an American nickname which I tell everybody to call me, which is Jade. I have friend, her name is Jie and she answers to Jenny. Simple. So this stupid woman wants people to spend money to change their name. WHY DON'T SHE ASK HOW TO PRONOUCE *insert name*?! It'll only take a few second to find out how to say it and/or she may find out that they have an American nickname. Forgive me for saying this but..."she is one lazy white."

Dragonball Evolution is EPIC FAIL

This is like bad fanfiction of DB brought to life. And no, I did not pay to see this. I pirated it. Argh, maties! I couldn't really state this over at Yahoo! Movies.

If you're a true DB fan, this is not the movie for you. It does not follow the manga at ALL. No Krillin and Goku is in HIGH SCHOOL!! Absolutely way off track. Goku and Krillin are best friends, and they did not put Krillin in. Goku likes Chi Chi, we know that. We also all know that Goku didn't went to High School and that Chi Chi tricked him into marrying her. Now, in DBE, they act all lovely dovely in the end, which is the total opposite of Goku's character. The characters were so OOC (out of character). Yes, I know this is an adaption, but if you make them OOC and cut out major characters like Krillin, this movie is NOT an adaption, it is a total new movie that just copy and paste DB.

The acting seems like they're reading off of cue cards. Grant, I'll have to say that the acting here is better than Scorpion King 2, but at least that had a better story. Graphics were standard. The story is not like DB. Goku's not suppose to be in HS and not suppose to be trying to fit in, but considering they had the setting in the city instead of the country, this is what you get. Too much GokuxChi Chi, I love them, but it's not the real point. (Hell, I don't even remember them kissing in the manga/anime) If Japanese were to make it, it would have been 100x better. The only part that I actually liked in the movie was how they set up Roshi's place. Since Master Roshi lives in a house on an island, his house was on an island in the city. I thought that was funny. So, PLEASE I beg you all do not see this movie. It's not worth the money to see it. It's not worth the money to rent/buy it. If you really want to see it, borrow it from the library or a friend (who's crazy enough to spend money on this fail of a movie) when it comes out. GO READ THE ORIGINAL MANGA!! I personally feel sorry for Toriyama that he granted the license of his master piece to butchered into a live action movie that makes characters OOC and cuts out important characters.

All Fools Day

Good thing I realized that today is April Fool's Day yesterday. Haven't been fooled yet by any websites. Dattebayo got me good 2 years ago with the transformation of their websites into an American legal something site (don't remember what it was)

This is the reason why never to let Americans make an adaption to Asian stories. *points to The Legend of Chun Li* Although I have not seen the movie, I DON'T plan on spending money to see it, as to reading the negative reviews and critics that the movie have received. I fear that Kristen Kreuk has been typed cast as Lana Lang. Not to mention that I don't think I can imagine her as our favorite Street Figther, Chun Li.

Although I'm not saying that all adaptions of Asian stories are bad because I haven't seen them all. But when growing up on Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (yes, you heard me) and comparing it to the now own Disney Power Rangers, I have to say that if Disney can't pull off a good adaption (or not make it a carbon copy of Sentai) of a kids show (Power Rangers are based on Toei's Super Sentai) and Disney's been successful for copying stuff for who knows how long, it's not much anyone else can do. Well, maybe the Wang Brothers (the people behind Kamen Rider Dragon Knight) can, but I haven't seen KRDK, but a friend of mine says it's ok.

So, enough of my bashing of American directors making bad adaptions. (I'm Vietnamese American living in CA btw) I'm just saying it's best to leave movie/shows/anime adaption from manga/videogames (or vise versa) to the country of origin. I personally love the way they made Cutie Honey the Live and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon into a live action series. Although the effects weren't super high tech, the story and character development was GREAT. It isn't about the effects *stares at Power Ranger's over use of explosions* but the way it's carried out and how the characters grow.

OMG... I am officially FREAKING out.

I'm freaking out cause I have a Chemistry midterm tomorrow (Friday). And I barely finished reading chapter 6 2 hours ago and I'm reviewing the other chapters. This midterm is ch 4-6. Normally, I wouldn't have a problem, but Chem is alot of work. It needs to be worth more units! It's not worth 5 units, it's more. Lab Reports due every week and Quizzes every week too. Now, I can handle work like this, BUT when the professor can't teach shit and he can't teach shit, it's horrible!!! HE CAN'T TEACHER AT ALL! Whatever he says in Lec, it's not on the midterm. Lab and Rec teachers are different, so that's easy points since I chose good teachers. OMG OMG OMG!!!!!

Internet Problem

So I'm finally writing again.

I SWEAR TO GOD, I WANT MY OLD MAN TO LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! "Do this, do that," shut the fuck up! He thinks he's "Mister I Know How To Do Everything Better Than You." I just got off the phone with AT&T Internet Tech support, after TWO HOURS of playing phone tag. And he's BITCHING that I didn't do anything. I fuckin did everything and told the tech support guy asked of me.



Tech guy: What's your problem?
Neko: My internet isn't working.
Tech guy: Can you tell me what modem you are using?
Neko: 2WIRE
Tech guy: Have you tried resetting the modem?
Neko: Yes.
Tech guy: Let's try it again.
Neko: Ok.

*resets modem*

Tech guy: Now how many lights do you see?
Neko: 4 lights, two flashing, the internet one and the wireless one.
Tech guy: Let me run some tests and I'll get back to you.
Neko: Ok.

*runs tests*

Tech guy: I'm going to send an inqury to AT&T and have them check the surrounding to see if the signal is sending to the area and to see if the signal is being sent from the server. You should be receiving a phone call tomorrow morning.
Neko: Ok.

Neko: Hi, my internet is still not working, and I was wondering what's the status.
*Tech guy checks status*
Tech guy: Someone was sent to the area and nothing was wrong. A test was done on the main server, but it was the wrong test. I'll send someone to do the correct test. You should have internet this afternoon.

*Neko calls to check status cause there's no internet*
Tech guy: I see that there is something wrong with the connection, but the server is
sending out signal. I can send a tech guy to check out your home on....Monday.
Neko: Monday? Is that the earliest?
Tech guy: Yes.
Neko: I called earlier today and he said "Blah blah blah about the Internet..." (don't remember the actual conversation.)
Tech guy: I'm sorry about the inconvenice, but Monday is the earliest that we can send someone to check out your surroundings.
Neko:...Ok then...



So, I finally got Internet last Monday. God, I hate playing phone tag. And I hate my old man. He can't even do ANYTHING even when the my mom ask for a Vietnamese person to talk to. *ugh*
